FISS, or the Fecta International Student Society, is a community of students at Universities all around the world who can share experiences, ideas, opportunities and advice. When you join FISS as a current or future student, you will join a network of people in exactly your position who can help you grow and learn both academically and personally. The core idea behind FISS is the recognition of the reality that to be effective in the modern world is to be global. 

Unlike University societies, FISS is unaffiliated with any Student Union or particular University. That means that FISS is a community made for and by students without any obligations to any other organisation. This provides members a kind of freedom in their engagement with the society that just isn’t found elsewhere. Additionally, FISS operates across borders, meaning that you can build relationships and learn from students all over the world. Our increasingly globalised world puts people with an understanding and relationship with other countries at a crucial advantage. 

Because FISS is a completely new student owned and run organisation, the direction that it takes is completely up to the members. Like everything worth doing, you will get out what you put in. At minimum, you will receive updates, news and recommendations from the FISS team through your email, but as time goes on, you will benefit from FISS as a source of invaluable international networking, academic and career support, and extracurricular activity.
